The theme of the 2012 Boat Parade was sports!
Boat Parade – was on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. and the following winners were named:
Best Overall – “Olympics” – The Boucher Family
Best Patriotic – “Sports Galore” – The Weessies Family
Most Humerous- “Basketball” – The Lauria Family
Most Original – “Kentucky Derby” – Lakeside Road Cottages
The 2011 Boat Parade theme was TV commercials. Our judge, a Lake County Sherriff deputy, awarded the following families with this year’s awards:
• Most Patriotic – The Jipping Family – The Patriots
• Most Humerous – The Alt Family – Little River Casino
• Most Original – The Lauria Family – Travelocity.com
• Best Overall – The Canton/Russell Family – Oscar Meyer
The Best Overall winner will be deciding the theme for next year’s boat parade. Congratulations to the winners!
Note: please refrain from shooting water balloons or other objects at boats in the parade.
